Bottles 4 Life inc is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, active since 2013, working to make medical care reachable for people the world overlooks — funded by recycled bottles and by people like you.
On 12 January 2010 an earthquake in Haiti took more than 220,000 lives. Two years later, in Tamale, Ghana, Fedly Bonneau and Austin Gideon Adobasom-Anane met and could not stop talking about it — about how many of those lives were lost not to the earthquake itself but to the days after, without water, without care. They founded Bottles 4 Life in 2013 to do something small enough to start and large enough to matter: collect the plastic bottles nobody wants, recycle them, and turn every bottle into a little medical access for someone who has none. The work follows United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 3 — good health and well-being for all.
Our field work is concentrated along the Thailand–Myanmar border region, among families who crossed to escape conflict and now work the farms and factories on the Thai side, often without papers, often without a way to reach a clinic. Since 2018 we have transported patients, served meals at the hospital, run a weekly mobile clinic, and taught 44 preschoolers to read and to stay healthy. We also work in Haiti, Tanzania, Ghana and, through the End Period Poverty program, in eight nations.
We are careful about how we talk about the people we serve. We do not publish their faces, their names or the places they live. Their dignity is not the price of your donation.
